Pujara Likes Spending Time With Daughter While In Quarantine

The Coronavirus pandemic has engulfed the world as the general public is urged to isolate themselves for some time to avoid the infectious virus from spreading.

Many sporting competitions across the globe were delayed, suspended and/or canceled by authorities until the situation improves.

what are the cricketers doing at the moment?

India‘s Cheteshwar Pujara the test specialist gave a glimpse of his life during the lockdown. The Indian batsman said that half of his day goes to take care of his daughter while doing household chores, reading a book or watching television for the rest of the day.

“I like to spend time with myself, reading a book or watching TV, while I’m home, I should do it. That said, I’ve got a little daughter that’s so energetic and she wants to play all the time, so half my day goes to look after her. I’m helping my wife Puja with their everyday chores as well.

Even Pujara urged the country’s people to behave wisely and not to step out for their families’ sake. “These are tough times not just for our country but for the entire world. The only way we can counter the pandemic is by remaining indoors, “said Pujara.

“They can even be frustrating. There will be days when you may have to resist the temptation to go out for a quick walk, but we have a duty to take care of our country and families, and the best way to do that is to live in self-isolation at home, “he said.

Pujara has helped Saurashtra claim this year’s coveted Ranji Trophy, with a final victory over Bengal. The batsman, however, endured back spasms during the match and is now rejuvenating this time.

“I’ve got a gym at home where I’m doing all my workouts, so I didn’t even have to move to practice,” he said.
