Karachi Kings and Islamabad United battled it out in the 22nd match of the ongoing sixth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). The contest was fully controlled by the Islamabad batters, as Colin Munro and Iftikhar Ahmed caused destruction on the field, leading their team to victory in a 191-run chase.
During the game, though, Mohammad Amir stole the show by getting into a furious argument with Iftikhar. Iftikhar added four more runs to the scoreboard with a powerful boundary off Mohammad Amir’s last delivery of the 15th over. Ahmed’s shot added to Amir’s dissatisfaction with the ball, who was having a bad day with it.
As a result, after the batter hit the four, Amir looked angrily at Iftikhar and shouted something. Iftikhar wasn’t the only one who didn’t back down, as he responded with some heated comments of his own. With the arrival of Karachi Kings’ captain Imad Wasim, the event grew much more dramatic. Wasim stood by his bowler and got into a furious argument with Iftikhar.

When umpires Asif Yaqoob and Rashid Riaz interfered and instructed the players to keep the peace, the situation ultimately calmed down.
Iftikhar Ahmed was United’s wrecker-in-chief as they eased to an eight-wicket win against Karachi Kings. Shadab Khan, the captain of the United team, won the toss and chose to bowl first. Karachi batted first and put up a respectable total of 190 runs on the board.
Babar Azam was at his best with the bat once again, scoring 81 runs off only 54 deliveries. Najibullah, who added 71 runs in 42 balls, was an excellent counter for him. Colin Munro and Iftikhar, who were chasing 191, were in charge of getting Islamabad home.
Munro scored the most runs with 88 runs off 56 balls. Ahmed, on the other hand, ensured his team’s victory with a quickfire knock of 71 runs off 39 deliveries. Mohammad Amir, on the other hand, had a disastrous bowling performance, going wicketless and allowing 32 runs in 3.4 overs.
