Players from KXIP, Rajasthan Royals All Set For The First Net Session

All the team members of Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Kings XI Punjab (KXIP), who arrived in the UAE last week, will have their training session on Wednesday (26-08-2020) evening, after tested COVID-19 negative three times during their compulsory six-days quarantine.

To avoid tremendous Dubai heat, the teams prefer to practice in the evening time. KXIP and RR, both are based in Dubai and Kolkata Knight Riders’ base is in Abu Dhabi. KXIP, RR, and KKR are among the first group to arrive in the UAE on Thursday.

After the arrival of the players, the testing carried out in the 1st, 3rd, and 6th day according to the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) of the BCCI and after clearing all the three tests, now RR and KXIP are all set to start their net sessions.

In this mandatory quarantine period of six days, the players were not permitted to go outside of their hotel rooms. As per the source, all the players who arrived in the UAE from India have cleared their compulsory three testing rounds and will begin their practice from today (26-08-2020).

David Miller, the South African player, who has shifted from KXIP to Royals will join the team after finishing his quarantine. Hardus Viljoen will also join the KXIP nets after six days mandatory quarantine period.

As per the KXIP source, all those players who traveled on 20th August from India and have finished their quarantine period can start their training sessions from today.

Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Chennai Super Kings will finish their quarantine on Thursday (26-08-2020) as they landed on Friday in the UAE.

The 13th edition of IPL will begin from 19th September and finish on 10th November and will be played in a bio-secure bubble because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In 13 years, for the time that the complete IPL tournament is being held in overseas.
