IPL is a platform where talent meets opportunity. Players have gone on to make successful international careers for themselves after performing well in the IPL. The likes of Bumrah, Pandya, Natarajan are few such shining examples. For this very reason Rahul Dravid, the former India Captain believes that an addition of an IPL team will present more such deserving players with the right opportunities. If not for IPL, then players like Tewatia, Tyagi, Padikkal would never have been household names. Dravid believes that India’s dominance in white-ball cricket since 2008 could be directly related to the rise of IPL.
