Ian Bell To Retire From Professional Cricket At The End Of Domestic Season

Ian Bell announced his wish to retire from professional cricket at the end of the current season. The 38-year-old who debuted for England in 2004 played 118 Tests, 161 ODIs, and 8 T20Is. “It’s true that they tell you to know when the time is right, and unfortunately my time is right now,” he said in a statement. “While my passion and excitement for the sport that I love remain as high as ever, my body simply can not keep up with the demands of the game to the extent that I expect of myself.”
