Veteran off-spinner Harbhajan Singh made it clear on Saturday that the Punjab government withdrew his nomination for this year’s Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award as he did not qualify for the country’s highest sporting award. In the midst of uncertainty about the removal of his nomination, Harbhajan tried to clear the air. “I’ve been overwhelmed with calls as to why Punjab ‘s government removed my name from Khel Ratna ‘s appointments. Actually, I’m not fit for Khel Ratna,” he said.
