Earlier Rishabh Pant was tested positive for Covid-19 and was under strict quarantine. Recently he has successfully recovered from it and has returned to the squad. After MS Dhoni’s retirement from international cricket, Rishabh Pant has been the mainstream wicketkeeper for Team India – he is very consistent with the bat and has improved a lot with his glovework.

Currently, Pant is one of the key players of Team India, and even former wicketkeeper Parthiv believes the same who observed him closely during the 2018-19 Test series Down Under.

In a recent interview, Parthiv Patel spoke regarding Pant and said – “Rishabh Pant is the future of Indian cricket. He is fearless. What I really like about him. When I was a standby wicketkeeper on a tour in 2018 and he was the first-choice keeper, his attitude and will to improve his wicketkeeping all the time. He worked really hard on his wicketkeeping. He kept brilliantly on the turning wickets in the India-England home series,”

Pant has recently been in limelight for his heroic knock against Australia and even in the home series against England. Parthiv Patel has also stated by playing such match-turning knocks, the youngster has already proved that his mettle.

And he has concluded by saying – “He is taking more responsibility while batting. He is playing match-winning knocks in Test cricket. That is something that defines a cricketer,” Parthiv Patel signed off.

Virat Kohli lead Team India is all set to play a 5 match Test series against England which is all set to start from August 4th, 2021 at Trent Bridge, Nottingham.
