Pakistani Cricketers Shehzad and Shahid Afridi Got Into a Heated Argument On Television

Shehzad & Afridi Engaged In Heated Argument: Cricketer Ahmed Shehzad and former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi got Engaged In a Heated Argument on TV program. Shahid Afridi said during the performance that Shehzad was singled out for attack because of how much assistance he provided while he was skipper. According to Ahmed Shehzad, he hasn’t been given any chances to play.

In 2019, Ahmed Shehzad last participated in a T20I match for Pakistan. He attacked management, coaching staff, and prior coaches for “spoiling and harming” his career last month, accusing them of depriving him of opportunities and criticizing the Pakistan Cricket Board for doing so. Ramiz Raja, the chairman of the PCB, responded by calling Ahmed Shehzad’s remarks “pure exasperation.”

On a Pakistani TV news program recently, a heated confrontation between Shahid Afridi and Ahmed Shehzad took place. In addition to Shahid Afridi, who was on the expert panel, Shahzad made an appearance on Pakistani television station Samaa TV on Tuesday. Former all-rounder Afridi brought up the fact that Shehzad was singled out for attack during the conversation because of how much support he provided for him while serving as captain.

“Since of me, Ahmed was targeted because I gave him a lot of support. I gave him a lot of chances, and when I left my captaincy, that turned out to be bad for him. People may have assumed he was my favorite of all. I gave him a lot of support because Pakistan didn’t have an opener with his caliber. He was also performing. He couldn’t play well in every game, of course, but Afridi claimed that he was also singled out because of me.

Afridi’s remarks caught Ahmed Shehzad off guard, and he stated he wasn’t sure why he had said what he had.

“Hear, Shahid Bhai. I have no idea why you said it. You may say anything to me since you’ve been my older brother. You have always been an older brother to me, even if sometimes it hurts me,” the starting batter remarked.

Shehzad was then stopped by Afridi, who expressed his desire to see Shehzad score runs for the national squad. Shehzad said that at the very least, he ought to be given chances to play.

“I want you to hit home runs and have a good time with your wife and children. You have a great life because Allah made it such, Afridi stated. “I’ve said that before. I want to score runs, therefore please don’t take away my scoring opportunities. Who comes in and says “no” when PSL sides want to choose me, I’ll ask you? Where do I score runs, you tell me? At my residence?” Ahmed Shehzad retorted.

Shahid Afridi, the former captain of Pakistan, managed Ahmed Shehzad in several of his games. The right-handed batsman’s final T20I appearance for Pakistan came in an October 2019 match against Sri Lanka. Despite not playing in a game for the past three years, he hasn’t declared his retirement.

Shehzad has scored 1474 runs in T20Is at an average of 25.81 and 2605 runs at an average of 32.56 in 81 ODIs and 59 T20Is for Pakistan. The former Pakistan opener has scored 982 runs at an average of 40.92 in 13 Test matches. Additionally, Shehzad is responsible for 10 global centuries.
