Eng Vs Pak: Day 1 session 2 England Choose to bat

For Pakistan, it was hard work before Abrar Ahmed bagged the Seven wickets haul for the side and made England stop at 281.

Have to assume the wicket will be at its best on Day 1 and probably Day 2 and Pakistan need to cash in. They will be wanting to take the lead as they will be batting last. England on the other hand, will once again rely on their pacers to do the job for them. However, the wicket was assisting the spinners in the first innings. Will the English pacers come to the fore though again?

Debutant Akbar Ahmed takes 7 on England bowled out for 281

For Pakistan, it was hard work before Abrar Ahmed weaved his magic. The pacers did not get a lot of assistance from the wicket and they struggled to pick wickets. Abrar Ahmed though spun a web and was on course of taking all 10. However, Zahid Mahmood contributed towards the end as he helped his side clean the tail up.

England  will not face be very disappointment with the score they have. It is we feel, an in-between total on a wicket which did assist the bowlers. England actually were off to a really good start. They 145 for 2 but once Root fell, it was a procession, they kept losing wickets at regular intervals. They tried to counter-attack but Pakistan always managed to break the stand which was starting to flourish. However, because of the way England batted, they have got themselves close to the 300-run mark.
