However, as his absence would provide an advantage for the opponent teams, Pakistan captain Babar Azam has reportedly requested him to stay back with the team.
“Babar wanted him to stay with the team. Management wants to closely monitor his injury rehab. He will be staying in Dubai itself with the team.” confirmed a PCB spokesperson to the local media agencies in Pakistan.
