New Zealand recorded an easy win over Netherlands in the second T20 international on Friday with an eight-wicket victory at the Sportpark Westvliet, The Hague. Let us dive into NZ Vs NED 2nd T20I Match Highlights.

The visitors made the near 150-run chase target very easy like a cake walk as they chased it down with six overs to spare to claim the series 2-0.

NZ Vs NED 2nd T20I Match Highlights:

Netherlands after winning the toss opted to bat first. However, their start was not like what they thought as they lost two early wickets of their dependable batters.

But, in-form Bas de Leede’s half century steadied their ship and with the help of small cameos from Tom Cooper (26 off 17) and Scott Edwards (26* off 20), the hosts managed to put 147 on board in 20 overs.

For New Zealand, Michael Bracewell took two wickets. While Blair Tickner and Ish Sodhi bagged a wicket each.

Chasing a target of 148, New Zealand also witnessed a break after losing two early wickets but skipper Mitchell Santner and Daryll Mitchell’s power hitting at the Haque assured a solid victory for the Blackcaps.

Santner played a superb knock of 77* off 42 balls, with the help of seven fours and four sixes. While Mitchell (51* off 27) also recorded half-century and walked back to pavilion with a not out tag. Their partnership of 123 runs in 65 balls was destructive enough to hand New Zealand an eight-wicket win with six overs to spare.

Highest-scorer of the series – Bas de Leede

Netherlands Bas de Leede scored most runs and sixes amongst both teams with 119 runs and four sixes in two games.

Most Wickets in the series – Blair Tickner

Blair Tickner grabbed the most number of wickets (5) in two matches, including one 4-fer.

New Zealand team will now fly to West Indies for 2-match T20I series, starting August 10. Both teams will also play 3 ODIs as well.
