New CSK T-shirt Is Made Completely With Recycled Plastic, 15 Bottles Used To Make 1 Jersey

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper MS Dhoni, on Wednesday, unveiled the franchise’s new jersey for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021. The former Indian captain unboxed the jersey as he shared the glimpse of the jersey with fans and followers. The latest CSK jersey for IPL 2021 also features new camouflage shoulder straps as a tribute to the Indian armed forces and this jersey has a positive effect on the environment as it is made out of 15 plastic bottles.

Recycled Plastic Bottles Used To Make CSK’s Jersey In This Upcoming 2021 Edition

Did you know that the jersey of the Indian cricket team is made out of recycled plastic? The fabric, used for making jersey for the men in blue, is just one example of when plastic bottles were crushed and processed to make numerous products.

With the 14th edition of the much-awaited IPL about to commence in two weeks, all eight teams will be gearing up for the tournament. And now, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have come out with a jersey that not just looks extremely attractive, but will also have a positive effect on the environment.

The new CSK T-shirt is made completely with only recycled plastic, and 15 plastic bottles have been recycled to make a single jersey. The polyester in the jersey consumes 90% less water and will also reduce the carbon emissions into the atmosphere by 270 grams.

CSK had its worst season within the IPL in 2020. For the very first time, they did not qualify for the playoffs. In the 2021 version, which might be the ultimate 12 months for captain MS Dhoni, Chennai can be in search of a greater end to his last few matches. Suresh Raina’s inclusion will be a huge boost for CSK. MS Dhoni and co. will be seen live on 9th April vs Delhi Capitals.

The new CSK jersey has three stars above their logo, which highlights the three IPL titles they have won over the years. In a video shared by the franchise, Dhoni urged CSK fans to start the whistles as he gears up for IPL 2021. “Thala Dharisanam! #WearOnWhistleOn with the all-new #Yellove!” CSK captioned the post.
