Indian team is with the hurdle of injuries which seems to be a worrying issue to the management. They were yet to provide a new update on Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s Hamstring injury during the game against Pakistan. Meanwhile, Navdeep Saini is going to join the India team in Manchester on Monday.
Navdeep Saini is a fast bowler who played in Ranji Trophy for Delhi. He impressed the selectors of the team with an extraordinary performance in IPL for Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Saini was named as one of the standby players when Indian selectors have announced 15 member squad for the ICC World cup 2019. Now BCCI has clearly mentioned that he is joining the India team as a net bowler.
BCCI has made a note saying: “Navdeep Saini has arrived in Manchester. Navdeep is the only net bowler here and he will train with the Indian cricket team.”
They also mentioned that Saini didn’t come to England as cover like Rishabh Pant but only as a net bowler.
“He has joined as a net bowler and not as anybody’s cover like Pant had come in as cover for Shikhar Dhawan.” – they said.
After Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s injury, Indian team management has told that he will be recovering in a span of eight days from the day of injury. They also told that after his recovery, he would join for the practice. But there was no sign of his arrival and they didn’t make any update on his status.
