Dream11 IPL 2020 was the season to forget for CSK as they failed to make it to the playoffs for the first time in the club’s history. However, CSK’s abysmal performance on the pitch didn’t seem to have altered their popularity online.

Mumbai Indians failed to Trend; RCB finished 2nd
Shockingly, Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians finished 3rd in the ‘most Tweeted’ about teams list during Dream11 IPL 2020. Citing their domination in the league and their back-to-back title glory, Mumbai Indians failed to capture the minds of people on Twitter. Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore were second on the list posted by Twitter India. RCB managed to clinch a spot in the play-offs but failed in the knock-out stage against David Warner’s Sunrisers Hyderabad.

The “MSD” effect was enough for CSK
Mahinder Singh Dhoni’s “Definitely Not” statement to deny his IPL retirement rumors was enough to create all the buzz online. However, CSK were also in the news for their poor series of performances in IPL 2020 as well. Dream11 IPL 2020 Finalists Delhi Capitals saw themselves at the bottom of the list. SRH, KKR, RR, and KXIP finished 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th respectively.
