MS Dhoni’s Return Would’ve been Easy If IPL 2020 Would Have Happened

MS Dhoni Has Last Seen In Men In Blue In 2019:

During the triumph of its 2007 T20 World Cup, the cricket manager for the Indian team Lalchand Rajput said that if IPL 2020 has to take place MS Dhoni ‘s return to the Indian team has been smoother.

In the semi-final, at the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, Dhoni was last seen in Indian colors. Unfortunately, India lost the game and was eliminated from the competition against New Zealand. Dhoni was away from the Indian team since then.

It is predicted that Dhoni will show his tremendous performance in this year’s IPL 2020, as he was sweating hard for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK). His return was very awaited. However, because of the occurrence of the COVID-19 pandemic, the BCCI had to postpone the tournament. And that has once more given way to Dhoni’s future speculation with Team India.

Now, Lalchand Rajput also expressed his opinion on the current situation of MS Dhoni and said IPL 2020 will be easier to join the Indian team.

Until the matches are played you can not count anything because the T20 World Cup itself is in question. People always claim that MS Dhoni hasn’t been playing international cricket for a long time, but I still believe he’s a great cricket player.”, Lalchand Rajput said.

Lalchand Rajput Opinion on Dhoni:

But IPL is a very important tournament for him since it is in the same format and we can be confident of the success if he plays 14 matches. T20 is also the same format. I am sure he will be back in the squad if the IPL is played before the T20 World Cup. But if IPL isn’t played, it’s hard for him because he didn’t play in any form of cricket for a long time,” Lalchand Rajput added.

Once again, it is up to the captain and the coach to find him because he is the best finisher that we can rely on him. He ‘s fine, he ‘s wonderful to running between the wickets. Yeah, he is getting a little bit older and gray hair, but he is still fit.,” Rajput further said.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK)’s star batsmán Suresh Raina recently said that MS Dhoni showed no signs of aging and that, as usual in the Chennai training camp, he hit the great sixes. Laxmipathy Balaji, Chennai Super Kings’ bowling trainer, also supported  MS Dhoni’s return.

On the other hand, former wicketkeeper-batsman, Deep Dasgupta, said that if he aspired to come back to the Indian team, MS Dhoni would have continued to play domestic cricket. Kris Srikkanth also said that the return of Dhoni seems unlikely if the IPL does not take place. The same views were also held of Gautam Gambhir and Ashish Néhra as of Srikkanth.
