Mohammad Kaif Praise Suryakumar For His Batting Efforts

Suryakumar Yadav wowed the crowd once again with his dazzling strokeplay in the opening T20I versus Sri Lanka, hitting a beautiful 50. The 30-year-old was often at his effortless form after becoming an awarded player of the series in the ODI series, carrying the effort to the opponents and collecting runs at a rapid pace. His 50 went off with just 34 deliveries, helping India to a challenging 164 in their 20 overs. Here is why Mohammad Kaif Hails Suryakumar.

Other than being in excellent form, Yadav has amassed a large following of supporters and followers. Mohammad Kaif, it appears, has become the right-hand batter’s newest fan, praising his fearlessness and attacking play on a spin-friendly and slow surface in Colombo.

With the exception of his clean innings in ODIs and T20Is up to this point, Yadav has also shown an awesome look, as seen by his casual six off the first ball to Jofra Archer on his T20I debut previously this year.

Kaif admired these traits in the right-hand batsman and praised his exceptional run-scoring abilities and performance in his brief international experience on Twitter.

“Surya Kumar Yadav these days plays his first ball like he already has a 100 to his name. No nerves, no doubts, in total control. Always great to see a domestic star do well internationally,” Kaif tweeted.

We Played Quite Well After Losing Early Wickets: Kaif

With the exception of Kaif, Shikhar Dhawan, the stand-in skipper, was also spotted complimenting his star middle-order batsman. The lefty praised him as a “great player” who is “extremely graceful and enjoyable to watch,” despite his aggressiveness in keeping continual pressure on the opponent.

“He (Surya) is a great player, and we enjoy watching him bat. He took the pressure off me, and the way he plays calculated shots was amazing to watch. I feel we played quite well after losing early wickets. It was about one or two boundaries; we knew we could get going,” Dhawan said at the post-match presentation.

Yadav’s incredible season continues with his selection in the Indian side for a five-match Test series against England.
