After Australia defeated Pakistan by an innings and 48 runs in the second Test at Adelaide Oval, former England captain Michael Vaughan claimed that only India is capable of defeating Aussies on their home soil.

Tim Paine and his team recorded a comprehensive victory in the pink-ball Test to win the series 2-0. Following this emphatic victory, Vaughan stated Australia is a very tough nut to crack on home conditions and only Virat Kohli’s team can get the better of the Team Down Under.

India has recorded their first-ever Test series win in Australia when they edged a 2-1 series win Down Under. But fans were quick to point out that the Australian team was missing stalwarts Steve Smith and David Warner who were serving their respective one-year bans for their part in the infamous ball-tampering scandal in South Africa.

Micheal Vaughan revealed the team name who can defeat Australia:

Vaughan took to social media to express his thoughts and his Twitter post read: “This Australian Team in these conditions are going to take some beating … Only @BCCI #India has the tools to do so at this stage imo … #AUSvPAK.”

While India are table-toppers, with a perfect record and 360 points, Australia is second with 176 points. After retaining the Ashes with a 2-2 series draw in England, Australia began their home summer with a series whitewash against Pakistan. Australia registered innings wins in both the matches, with David Warner and Marnus Labuschagne dominating an inexperienced Pakistan bowling attack.

Australia’s next assignment is when they take on New Zealand in a three-Test match series at home. India, who won their first-ever Test series Down Under this January, has been in emphatic form. Virat Kohli has led India to seven consecutive wins in the longest format of the game, with all four being innings wins – a world record.

India’s next Test series is going to be held in Late 2020.
