WPL 2023 1st innings Updates: Delhi bowlers restricts Mumbai innings early at 109/8

Winning the toss, Delhi, and choosing to bowl first, Harman Preet led side Mumbai Indians went off slow on the bowl.

Yastika Bhatia and Hayley Matthews started for the side and went off early to the dug out.

Nat Sciver Brunt also lost to Kapp with no runs, Harman  Preet Kaur took a halt on the crease to make some runs partnering with Amelia Kerr and Pooja Vastrakar.

But the Delhi Bowlers dominated from the initial overs and clinched 5 wickets in 14 overs with 69 runs.

Issy Wong and Amanjot Kaur took a slow pace run making to survive the innings and feth some runs for the side.

Marizane Kapp, Sikha Pandey, and Jess clinched 2 wickets for the side.

Batting First Mumbai posted 109 in the 20 Overs with the fall of 8 wickets

After the completion of 20 overs of the  18th match of WPL 2023, Mumbai Indian’s total is 109 . In the first innings, Mumbai Indians managed to score 109 runs for the loss of 8 wickets.

In the last 10 overs, Mumbai Indians batters could not utilized the opportunity, conceding just 40 runs. The batting team couldn’t manage to hit more number of boundaries.

During the death overs, Mumbai Indians was able score 39 runs for the loss of 3 wickets.

The highest partnership of the innings was between Harman Preet and Pooja Vastrakar who contributed 41 runs to the innings.

Arundhati Reddy bowled the 17th over of the game and was unsuccessful in pulling off a maiden. No wickets came in this over. A total of 11 runs and no wicket came off the 18th over of the innings bowled by  Jess Jonassen.

The 19th over of the innings was bowled by Shikha Pandey who kept things tight, conceding just 4 runs.

The 20th over of the innings was bowled by Jess Jonassen and it was an impressive one, with the fall of 2 wicket and 5 runs

The run rate at the end of 20th over is 5.45 . Harman Preet Kaur scored highest number of runs by hitting 3 fours at a strike rate of 88.46.
