Both openers played a key role in winning the match against India single-handily without even losing a wicket. Their partnership is now the second-highest partnership in T20I history. The way they placed the innings and handled the Indian bowlers in a calm and composed manner. We also saw how the England openers exposed the Indian bowling weakness.

Both the player was not that consistent in the group stages but when the team needed they stood up to the occasion and killed the Indian hope of winning the silverware. Now they will face an inconsistent Pakistan team in the final of the T20 World Cup at MCG on Sunday Afternoon.
