Major League Cricket 2025 is set to enter their playoffs stage, with 8 remaining league matches to be completed, franchises will be aiming to cement their places in the playoff spot to embark on the journey for the final spot. Here is the Major League Cricket 2025 playoffs format.
The Playoffs Stage
Currently three teams are qualified for the playoffs stage for the Major League Cricket 2025, and in the coming days the remaining league matches will help determine which will make the last entry in the playoffs.
The playoffs format goes on like this:
- Qualifier 1
- Eliminator
- Qualifier 2
- Final
The format may look similar as it is used in various leagues around the world, especially in the Indian Premier League.

Qualifier 1: Qualifier 1 is played between the teams placed in 1st spot and 2nd spot on the points table. The team that wins the first qualifier gets a direct spot in the final match of MLC 2025.
Eliminator: Eliminator match will be played between the teams placed in the 3rd spot and the 4th spot of the points table. The team losing will be eliminated from the tournament, and the team winning the eliminator will be playing against the loser of Qualifier 1 in the Qualifier 2.
Qualifier 2: Qualifier 2 will be played between the winner of the Eliminator and the loser of Qualifier 1. The team winning Qualifier 2 will be playing against the winner of Qualifier 1 in the final match for the title of MLC 2025.
Final match: The final match of the Major League Cricket 2025 will be played between the winner of Qualifier 1 and the winner of Qualifier 2. Who will be set to play it all out, aiming for the title.
The playoff stage is set to start from 8th July, 2025, and the final match is scheduled at 13th July, 2025.
