MLC 2025 Captains and Key Players for All Teams Revealed
The third season of Major League Cricket (MLC) begins today, June 12, 2025, and the six teams have announced their captains for the season. The competition will be held in three venues: Dallas, Oakland, and Florida, and will continue until July 13. Let’s look at MLC 2025 Captains and Key Players.

MI New York:
MI New York now has a new captain. Nicholas Pooran has come in to replace Kieron Pollard. Pooran has only just retired from international cricket and wants to bring the team a fresh approach.

Los Angeles Knight Riders:
Jason Holder, the veteran West Indies all-rounder, will lead the Los Angeles Knight Riders (LAKR). He will, however, miss the initial two games due to international obligations. Sunil Narine will lead the team until Holder returns in their encounter against the Washington Freedom.

San Francisco Unicorns:
Corey Anderson is still the captain of the San Francisco Unicorns. The ex-New Zealand player now plays for the USA and is the sole US-based captain this season.

Washington Freedom:
The Washington Freedom will be captained by Glenn Maxwell, replacing Steve Smith, the previous season’s captain who guided the team to a title. Smith will also play in two games and will captain the team in those encounters.

Texas Super Kings:
Faf du Plessis will again lead the Texas Super Kings, with him retaining the captaincy from the earlier seasons.

Heinrich Klaasen will remain captain of the Seattle Orcas, bringing stability at the helm for the side.
