The match that started a little late due to rain, had Lucknow winning the toss and deciding to bowl first. Bangalore batting first is at 84 at the loss of 2 wickets. In the last 5 overs, the team scored 52 runs.

Even after losing the captain early in the first over, this did not impact the pace at which the Royals were playing. Virat Kohli and Rajat Patidar together blasted off to hit 52 runs in the first 6 overs of which the majority came from Patidar’s bat. The powerplay restrictions clearly helped the RCB and LSG bowlers failed to restrict the batters.

The 6th over of the innings was bowled by Krunal Pandya who looked frustrated as he got hit for a whopping 20 runs off the over. Ravi Bishnoi managed to restrict batters a little as he went for 9 runs in the 8th over. Even after not hitting any boundary, we could see Virat Kohli managing to score runs by runnings singles and doubles.

It was in the 9th over where we saw LSG getting a breakthrough as Avesh Khan bowled a bouncer that baffled Kohli as he mistimed the ball and got caught at the boundary line. This change brought Glenn MAxwell to the middle. 8 runs and a wicket came in the over. Ravi Bishnoi bowled the 10th over of the innings and controlled things a little as he gave away only 7 runs.

The pace at which RCB is playing will do them a favor and we can expect them to explode in the death overs which will lead to an even bigger score. If LSG wants to get back into the game, they must take wickets. Rajat Patidar and Maxwell look in great form and it is only wickets that can help the blue team today.

The run rate at the end of 10 overs is 8.40. The projected score at the end of the innings is 190+. Rajat Patidar and Glenn Maxwell are at the crease now.
