Who is London Spirit Head Coach?
Trevor Griffin, 45, who guided the team to fourth and seventh-place finishes in his two seasons in charge, has been replaced by Ashley Noffke on a two-year contract.
Noffke has had a successful coaching career since ending his playing career in 2010. So, for the 2023 women’s Hundred, London Spirit has appointed Ashley Noffke as its new head coach.
Who is Ashley Noffke?
Former Australian professional cricketer Ashley Allan Noffke (born April 30, 1977) competed for Queensland (1998-2009) and Western Australia domestically (2009–2010). Noffke, a right-arm fast-medium bowler who predominantly played, earned three appearances for Australia’s national team.
On March 27, 1999, in Harare, against the Zimbabwe Cricket Academy XI, Noffke made his first-class debut for the Australian Cricket Academy XI. Noffke scored 1/5 off 2 overs in the first innings and 2/10 off 6 overs in the second in a contest that the Australians dominated.
On January 27, 2000, Noffke took the field for Queensland against Victoria in his first-ever first-class match. In Queensland’s emphatic victory, Noffke shined with the ball, taking 4/46 in the first innings and 2/59 in the second.
Ashley’s Coaching Career
Noffke has coached both men’s and women’s cricket since 2010, following a playing career that included stops in England, the Indian Premier League, and his native Australia. In 2019, he signed with the Heat and Queensland Fire, and he quickly established a reputation for excellence and creativity in the women’s game.

Jimmy Maher, the captain of Queensland, called for Noffke to be included in the Australian team due to his career-best performance in the 2007-08 domestic season. After participating in 6 matches in the 2007-08 Pura Cup season, Noffke has scored 549 runs at an average of 54.90 with 1 century and 5 fifties and taken 31 wickets at an average of 20.22.
