“Let Rishabh Pant be Rishabh Pant”- Rohit Sharma Is Confident About Pant’s Form Ahead Of The T20I Series Against England

Indian wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant changed the dynamics of the game whenever he took the bat for India in recent months. He is young, enthusiastic and carries his heart under his sleeves which are some of the major reasons why he managed to pull off a mesmerizing comeback on the Indian side. With his stellar form in the Test series against Australia and England, Pant has overturned the perception the critics built about him after a poor IPL-season.

IND vs ENG: Rohit Sharma Backs Pant Ahead Of T20I

Credits to his incredible form in the back-to-back Test series, Pant is set to return in India’s T20I side against England as well. A crucial T20I series awaits for Pant as his stint against the Englishmen will decide his faith in India’s limited-overs squad. 23-year-old Pant will cement his place in India’s T20I team if he continues his fine momentum against England in the upcoming series.

Pant is likely to feel the heat before the series against England as all the eyes, including those of Kohli and Shastri, will be on him. However, Indian vice-captain Rohit Sharma has shown confidence in Pant. Sharma has back the youngster and believes that he is going to perform well in the shortest format of the game as well unless he has been put under pressure.

IND vs ENG: Rohit Sharma’s Take On Rishabh Pant

“Let Rishabh Pant be Rishabh Pant, he will come out and give you those performances. I have said in the past as well that leaves Rishabh Pant alone and he will give you those performances. He can only go from strength to strength from here. There is no looking back for him. He has done exceptionally well in the last few months from Australia to the home series that we just played against England,” Rohit said during a virtual press conference
