Umran Malik’s raw pace bowling has made him the center of attention. Malik is on BCCI’s radar for the upcoming T20 match series to be held in the month of June, this year, against South Africa and Ireland.

The BCCI wants to have a larger pool of pace bowlers for the upcoming World T20 in Australia, and Umran, with his blistering pace, has a good chance of joining the team provided all goes well and he stays fit over the next two months.

Umran made his T20 debut in January 2021. And so far he has played one match and managed to score 14 runs. Although the young player is comparatively inexperienced, he has managed to prove himself as a hot newcomer to vouch for. As the net bowler for Sunrisers Hyderabad, Umran showed his abilities by being one of the finest pace bowlers.

In the upcoming T20 series, India will be facing South Africa in a five-match international series to be held in India and two matches at Malahide and Ireland, respectively. In the matches which are going to be played in Ireland, a second-string team of white-ball experts will be in action while the big guns begin preparing for the series-deciding fifth Test against England, which begins in early July.

While BCCI sets eyes on Malik, Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Avesh Khan, Harshal Patel, Mohammed Siraj, Deepak Chahar (if fit), Mohammed Shami, and Umesh Yadav are among the best bowlers whose workload management would be critical in the upcoming T20 matches.
