SRH vs KKR 1st innings update: Kolkata unbalance overconfident Hyderabad in IPL final
Kolkata Knight Riders unbalanced the overconfident Sunrisers Hyderabad’s batting line-up with their solid bowling performance in the finale match of IPL 2024 at Chepauk in Chennai.
A top-order failure yet again has put enough pressure on Hyderabad from where they haven’t been able to return. The team, who scored the highest 287 runs in league history, only managed to score 113 runs against KKR in the championship clash.
SRH vs KKR, IPL 2024 Final update
The highest paid IPL player showed why he is the one with a spectacular first over in the night of the final, as he dismissed the in-form Abhishek Sharma with his unanswerable outswinger.
The Ambala boy, Vaibhav Arora, then joined the party and removed SRH’s another destructive batter Travis Head for a golden duck.
Starc in his third over of the game took a wicket of Rahul Tripathi, who was the best striker for SRH in qualifier 2 at the same venue a couple of days back.
Aiden Markram and Nitish Reddy tried to bring SRH back in game by collecting 17 off the final powerplay over but the KKR bowlers had some other plans on the big final day.
Harshit Rana in his first and game’s seventh over got the wicket of Nitish Reddy. Andre Russell then joined the party and removed set Aiden Markram for 20.

Varun Chakaravarthy became the next bowler to take a wicket in his first over of the match as he got rid of Shahbaz Ahmed.
The Sunrisers Hyderabad were in deep trouble with 77 for 7 after 12 overs, but their hopes for a decent total in place as Klaasen was still there at the crease.
But the hard-hitting Klaasen followed the same route as other SRH batter and threw his wicket when almost 6 overs game yet to play.
The skipper for SRH Pat Cummins tried his best with the bat and shot the highest runs (24 off 18) for his side to guide Hyderabad to 113.
SRH have not been able to defeat KKR in their 2 outings in this year’s IPL.
