It was Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis who carried the RCB innings, and after the wicket of skipper Faf the run flow reduced and thus RCB was only able to post 183 on board in 20 overs. Virat Kohli the top runer scorer of IPL 2024 smashed a brilliant century in 66 balls. His unbeaten knock of 133* in 72 balls had four massive sixes and 12 impressive boundaries.
Faf du Plessis on the other hand played an anchor role where he scored 44 of 33 balls before getting dismissed by Chahal in the 14 over. RCB’s remaining batter settled under single digit scores adding vows to the RCB total.
For Rajasthan Chahal picked up two wickets, while Nandre Burger settled with one wicket from his spell. RR at one stage had a poor bowling spell with Boult, Avesh Khan, and Riyan Parag all bowing above 10 economy. Even though RR failed to pick up wickets they made sure that RCB did not get the runs easily.

Chasing a decent target of 184 the home side felt that this chase was easy, but things did not pan out as expected. The wicket of Jaiswal early on in the second ball of the innings made it a bad start for RR. However, it was their skipper Sanju Samson, and ex-captain Jos Buttler who carried the innings for RR until the very end.
Skipper Sanju scored an amazing 69 of 42 balls with two sixes and eight fours. While majorly it was Jos Buttler who handled the pressure, Buttler smashed an unbeaten 100* of 58 balls. This was Jos Buttler’s 100th IPL match and oh boy he made it count as he scored an impressive century to help Rajasthan cross the line with 6 wickets.
RCB Bowlers yet again fail to Restrict the Opposition
This loss had mainly to do with the bowling part and fielding as they were not up to the mark which ultimately cost the match for RCB. Reece Topley picked up two wickets, while Yash Dayal and Md Siraj picked up one wicket each. This bowling effort was not enough as RR cruised past RCB in this 19th match of the Indian Premier League.
