Rohit Sharma ODI Rankings No.1 in ICC ODI Rankings
In the latest ICC Men’s Player Rankings update, two senior stars—India’s Rohit Sharma and Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza—have achieved major career milestones. While Rohit has climbed back to the No. 1 spot in ODI batting rankings, Sikandar Raza has secured the top position among T20I all-rounders for the first time in his international journey. So let’s have a look at Rohit Sharma ODI Rankings No.1.
Raza Creates History as No. 1 T20I All-Rounder
Zimbabwe’s veteran all-rounder Sikandar Raza has been in sensational form during the ongoing tri-series featuring Pakistan and Sri Lanka. His consistent match-winning performances with the bat helped him reach a career-best milestone in the T20I all-rounders list.
Raza has played four innings in the tri-series, scoring 141 runs at a strike rate of 136.89 and an average of 47.00. His ability to score freely in the middle overs while delivering crucial overs with the ball has significantly contributed to Zimbabwe’s competitiveness in the series.
His rise to the top marks an important achievement for Zimbabwe cricket, as Raza continues to be the backbone of the national side across formats.
Rohit Sharma Returns to the ODI Throne
In the ODI format, India’s former captain Rohit Sharma has reclaimed the No. 1 ranking among ODI batters, overtaking New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell. The Kiwi star missed the final two matches of New Zealand’s ODI series against West Indies, causing a dip in his rating points and creating an opening for Rohit.
Rohit climbed to the summit with 781 rating points, while Mitchell follows with 766 points. West Indies opener Shai Hope occupies the eighth spot with 701 points, reflecting his own strong run in white-ball cricket.
Kohli and Gill Hold Steady in Top ODI Spots
The newly updated rankings bring good news for the Indian top order as Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill have maintained their positions in the top five. Gill continues to impress at No. 4, while Kohli remains India’s most consistent ODI performer at No. 5.
T20I Rankings: Abhishek Sharma Still on Top
In the T20I batting rankings, India’s young star Abhishek Sharma retains the No. 1 spot with 920 points, followed by England’s Phil Salt in second place. Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan has made headlines by jumping eight spots to break into the top tier at No. 4 with 776 points.
India Gears Up for ODI Series Against South Africa
After suffering a heavy loss in the Test match against South Africa, India now shifts focus to the ODI series. Senior players Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will return to action, strengthening India’s lineup as they prepare to face the Proteas.
