East Zone captain Ishan Kishan will miss the East-Zone opening match as he has not fully recovered from his minor injury during his stint with Nottinghamshire at the country Championship. Ishan Kishan Indian wicket keeper after failing to recover from foot injury which he sustained from last two-months of two wheeler bike accident hence, he has ruled out of upcoming Duleep Trophy for East-Zone. The (OCA) Odisha Cricket Association confirmed his withdrawal and named Ashirwad Swain as replacement in the squad.

His Last appearance was during his stint with Nottinghamshire at the country Championship, Ishan Kishan scored 164 runs across two innings, maintaining the average of 82.
