RCB vs KKR Match Updates: In this much-awaited clash of the IPL 2024, the Kolkata side has dismantled the Bengaluru side by 7 wickets. KKR won their sixth consecutive game in Bengaluru Chinnaswamy stadium.

After winning the toss KKR decided to bowl first keeping the pitch conditions in mind. RCB came out to bat with Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis. However, Faf was dismissed early but it was Kohli and Cameron Green who carried the innings for RCB. It was a Virat Kohli show at Chinnaswamy as he scored 83* of 59 balls.

KKR bowlers did their best to stop the RCB attack. KKR was on point, where they took regular wickets and had some pressure on RCB. Harshit Rana and Russell were the top bowlers for KKR as they both picked up two wickets each. While Narine picked up one wicket. This combined bowling effort restricted RCB to 182/6 in 20 overs. 

KKR on the Chase: Comfortable Chase

KKR came on to bat with positive intent and it was very clear from the get-go. KKR batsman Sunil Narine and Phillp Salt took the assult. They together scored 86 runs which gave the KKR much much-needed start to the innings. 

Then it was the star man Venkatesh Iyer who scored 50 off 30 balls which boosted the chances of KKR’s win. After Venkatesh Iyer, it was the skipper Shreyas Iyer who made sure KKR did not have any trouble finishing the game. KKR finished the game with 19 balls to spare. 

RCB bowlers were not up to their expectations as they were finding it difficult to break the KKR runflow. Only Yash Dayal, Mayank Dagar, and Vijaykumar Vyshak were the only three bowlers who picked up one wicket each. This lack of support from other main bowlers was certainly the gaming-changing point for KKR. 

Conclusion

Now KKR is in second place with four points from two games, while RCB is in sixth place with two points from two games. The season has just started, so RCB still has time to catch up, on the other hand, KKR will look to build up from these two wins.
