PAK vs ENG Highlights Day 3 : England concluded Day 2 at 96/1 in 20 overs after losing captain Ollie Pope for a duck.

Despite losing captain Ollie Pope for a duck, and Zak Crawley for 78/85, English batter Ben Duckett scored 84/75 before he got out, but the exceptional batting performance from Joe Root’s 176*/277 and Harry Brook’s 141*/173 not out helped England to score 492-3 in 101 overs, by the end of the Day 3 Stumps England trail by 64 runs.

Pakistan’s Strong First Innings Sets the Stage for a Thrilling Contest

In the first innings of Pakistan, they had an early setback, but they bounced back strongly and scored 556-10 in 149 overs, their batters Abdullah Shafique 102/184, Shan Masood151/177, and Agha Salman 104*/119 completed their centuries while Saud Shakeel 82/177missed his 4th Test century.

On the 2nd day of the Test, England started batting and lost their first wicket in the form of captain Ollie Pope for a duck, despite this loss, Zak Crawley showed resilience and completed his half-century.

On 3rd day of this 1st test, Zak Crawley went out scoring 78/85, and Ben Duckett scored 84/75 before he got out, but men in the form of Joe Root and Harry Brook stole the show and gathered added 317 runs on the board for England.

Pakistan Struggles to Maintain Momentum Against England’s Top Order

On the bowling side, the Pakistan bowler got an early breakthrough but failed to keep their momentum. However, they managed to pick up three wickets, where their star bowler Shaheen Afridi picked one wicket on day two while on day 3, Naseem Shah and Aamer Jamal picked one wicket each.

The Day 3 Stumps of the 1st Test ended with England trailing by 64 runs, while Joe Root’s 176*/277 and Harry Brook’s 141*/173 will resume the play on the Day of the match.
