India’s captain Rohit Sharma broke down in tears when his team, the Men in Blue, lost to Australia in the Cricket World Cup 2023 final.

This was his third try to win the World Series in ODI. Rohit was a member of the team that lost to Australia in the semi-finals in 2015. India’s 2019 campaign was again ended in the semi-finals against New Zealand. India was led by Rohit in this edition’s final, however the team faced a heartbreaking defeat against Australia.

Not only was Rohit disappointed with the defeat, but so was Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, and Jasprit Bumrah.
