New Zealand T20 World Cup squad
New Zealand became the first team to announce the T20 World Cup squad by naming the well-balanced 15-man team for the marquee event, starting June 2.
Devon Conway, who ruled out of the ongoing IPL, as he is still recovering from his thumb injury, has been included in the squad. Veteran pacers Tim Southee and Trent Boult also made the cut.
Southee is the most experienced player in the team as the right-arm fast bowler is set to play in his 7th T20 WC. While Trent Boult will be making his fifth T20 World Cup appearance.

New Zealand coach Gary stead is extremely confident about both the selection and his team’s good performance at the big stage.
New Zealand T20 World Cup squad: “I’d like to congratulate everyone named today. It’s a special time representing your country at a world tournament.
“We expect the venues in the West Indies to offer quite varied conditions and feel we’ve selected a squad with the scope to adapt to those conditions.” said Stead as quoted by ICC.

New Zealand T20 World Cup squad:
Kane Williamson, who missed the action last year in the shortest format due to injuries, returned during New Zealand’s home series against Pakistan in January, but was again sit out after playing 2 games due to hamstring injury. The veteran is fully fit now and is currently in India for his IPL duties.
13 out of 15 players have had the experience of playing in the T20 World Cup before, while Matt Henry and batting all-rounder Rachin Ravindra are the two players to feature in their first-ever T20 World Cup.
Adam Milne to miss the big event to his surgery, while Kyle Jamieson, who is also recovering from his back injury, was also unavailable for selection.

Apart from the 15-member squad, New Zealand named Ben Sears as the travelling reserve.
The Blackcaps have also revealed their jersey for the big tournament to be played in West Indies and USA.
New Zealand will start their campaign against Afghanistan on June 8 in the multination 20-team competition. The teams are divided into 4 groups, with New Zealand is part of Group C. The other members in Group C are Afghanistan, Papua New Guinea, West Indies, Uganda.
