New Zealand players IPL 2025 withdrawal
New Zealand Cricket Board is monitoring the current situation with tensions rising amongst India-Pakistan. New Zealand is currently monitoring the situation and will assess the security being provided for the players amongst times like these. Let’s take a look at New Zealand players IPL 2025 withdrawal.
Will the New Zealand board call back their players?
The cricket board of New Zealand is assessing the situation going on about between the neighbours India and Pakistan, as India carried out ‘Operation Sindoor’ which targeted terror camps. With multiple Kiwi cricketers participating in the IPL 2025, NZC is reviewing the situation seriously. While no official withdrawal has been announced, the board’s statement indicates heightened concern for player safety in India.
This review follows the deadly April 22 attack in Kashmir and subsequent Operation Sindoor by India. NZC is prioritizing the well-being of players and is in ongoing assessment mode, which could lead to player withdrawals from the tournament. Not only is the New Zealand board focused on their players playing in the IPL, but also in the Pakistan T20 tournament which contains some of the Group A players from the national side.
Who can Withdraw from the leagues?
Players list goes on from CSK’s Rachin Ravindra, Devon Conway, Trent Boult, Mitchell Santner, and Bevon Jacobs, who are currently playing in the Indian Premier League 2025. New Zealand has the upcoming series which includes Tri-nation series with Zimbabwe and South Africa, which will be played in july.
After which New Zealand will be touring Zimbabwe in the month of August. Although the decisions of players withdrawal from the t20 tournaments have not been confirmed, these withdrawals could only mean to other cricket boards around the board to monitor the situation. With IPL 2025 finale just weeks away, we hope the situation will only get better and safe for the tournament to end peacefully.
