IPL Auction Prediction: Marco Jansen’s 16-Ball 50 vs India sets stage for Bidding War

IPL 2025 Auction Prediction: Which Team Will Target Marco Jansen?

South African all-rounder Marco Jansen smashed a 16-ball 50 in the third T20I of the series to record the fastest T20I fifty against India. So let’s take a look at IPL Auction Prediction.

While Jensen’s knock drew a lot of attention, especially from IPL franchises, his late storm was not enough to procure his side a victory, as South Africa fell 11 runs short of chasing a massive 220.

However, there is one more match left in the series, which is probably the last audition for players registered in the IPL auction to perform and secure a lucrative contract. But South African legend Dale Steyn has already made a bold prediction about Jensen’s IPL price tag.

IPL Auction prediction for Marco Jansen after his 16-ball 50 vs India

A 54-run knock at a strike-rate of 317.65 right before the IPL mega auction will definitely increase Marco Jensen’s stock at the event.

Jansen started his IPL journey with Mumbai Indians in 2021, with a salary of 20 Lakh. Sunrisers Hyderabad then bought him in IPL 2022 mega auction at 4.20 crore, and the South African has played the last three seasons at the same price.

As per Dale Steyn, Jansen can fetch at least 10 crores in the upcoming IPL auction set to take place in Jeddah on November 24 and 25.

Jansen explosive innings of 54 off 17 put India under some pressure until Arshdeep Singh took his wicket to lead India to victory. Jensen’s knock included 4 fours and five maximums.

Everyone is already aware of Jansen’s ability to perform well with the ball, but his recent batting prowess will surely help him to garner a good amount in IPL mega auction, possibly in range of 6 to 8 crores, if not 10.
