Tata IPL Auction 2022 Live Updates
The IPL 2022 mega auction will feature a total of 590 players, including 370 Indians and 220 overseas, and the auction process is all set to begin on February 12 and 13, at Bengaluru. On the two-day bidding process, all ten franchises will compete for some of the prominent names around global cricket. The 8 existing franchises had given their choice of retained players, and the 2 additional franchises had also picked 3 players each before the mega auction.
Furthermore, Few franchises are seeking their captains, while some are hunting for specialists in other aspects of the game. According to speculations, the IPL Auction 2022 would be the conclusion of the mega auctions. The 2 additional franchises have also named their team captains.
KL Rahul will captain the Lucknow team, whereas Hardik Pandya will captain the Ahmedabad side. Captains have also been named to the Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals, Rajasthan Royals, and Sunrisers Hyderabad. KKR, RCB, and PBKS are all hunting for future captains.
With exception of prior auction activities, there is no right-to-match (RTM) card provided this time. The RTM card would indeed be allowed a franchise to purchase a player who had previously played for them instead of the top bid the player had earned.
The auction process is set to take place at 12 p.m., although the official broadcast will begin at 11 a.m. on both 12, 13 February. The IPL 2022 blockbuster auction will be broadcast live on Star Sports HD and Star Sports 3. And also watch live streaming on Disney+Hotstar.
