India’s best playing 11 for ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024

Indian Women’s Cricket Team is ready to complete the unfinished task of winning the T20 World Cup title.

The ninth edition of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup will take place from October 3 to October 20 in Dubai. Interestingly, Australia have won the marque event for record six times, while England and West Indies won it once.

India, on the other hand, reached the finals in 2020 but lost to Australia, and faced a defeat against Australia again in the semi-final of 2023 eight edition of the mega event.

With the men’s cricket team breaking the 17-year long title drought this year by winning T20 World Cup 2024, it is now time for the Women’s team to show their power and conquer the world.

Patil, who was part of India’s Asia Cup team, suffered a fracture to her finger during the crucial match versus Pakistan in July, and was ruled out of the entire tournament.

Shreyanka Patil is an important member of the team, however, her inclusion in the final eleven will depend on her fitness.

The ninth edition of the Women’s T20 World Cup will be a 10-team event where 5 teams each are divided into two groups.

Team India is part of Group A alongside Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The Harmanpreet-led India will start their campaign on October 4 against New Zealand and will face Pakistan in arguably the biggest league stage match of the competition on October 6.
