India’s U-19 team suffered a major blow ahead of their England tour as left-arm pacer Aditya Rana and all-rounder Khilan Patel have been ruled out due to injuries. So let’s have a look at India U19 England tour 2025.
The replacements Deepesh and Naman Pushpak have been called in from the standby list. The tour, scheduled from June 24 to July 23, will include five Youth ODIs and two multi-day matches against England U19.
“Aditya sustained a stress fracture in his lower back, while Khilan suffered a stress reaction in his right leg during the ongoing high-performance camp at the BCCI Centre of Excellence,” wrote BCCI in a statement on Monday.
The team will be captained by Ayush Mhatre, who gained national recognition after a stellar IPL 2025 season with Chennai Super Kings.
Abhigyan Kundu, a dependable wicketkeeper-batter and Mhatre’s Mumbai teammate, will serve as the vice-captain. Their chemistry and leadership will be crucial as the team navigates through English conditions.

14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi headlines the batting line-up
India’s batting line-up looks strong with the inclusion of Vaibhav Suryavanshi, the explosive left-hander from Rajasthan Royals, who lit up the IPL with a 35-ball century. Having scored 252 runs in IPL 2025 and been a key part of India’s U19 Asia Cup campaign, Suryavanshi will be one to watch on the tour.
Promising names like Vihaan Malhotra (Punjab) and Mohammed Enaan (Kerala) add depth to the squad. Both players made a mark during the youth series against Australia last year and are expected to play key roles in the English conditions.
The tour kicks off with a 50-over warm-up at Loughborough University, followed by matches at Hove, Northampton, Worcester, Beckenham, and Chelmsford—a perfect platform for India’s future stars to make a mark.
