Team India recorded their first victory in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 after beating Pakistan by six wickets at Dubai International Stadium on Sunday. Let’s look at IND-W vs PAK-W Highlights.

Opted to bat, Pakistan women’s team faced a shock when they lost their first wicket in the first over of the game itself.

Coming in at number 5 in seventh over, former skipper Nida Dar stayed at the crease till the final over of Pakistan’s innings and scored the most runs for her side a 34-ball 28.
Arundhati Reddy was the pick of the bowler for India with 3 wickets. Shreyanka Patil was also outstanding with the ball, as she bowled her four-over spell at an economy of 3 and bagged two wickets.
Renuka Singh Thakur, Deepti Sharma and Asha Sobhana all grabbed 1-1 wicket each.

India to chase 106 runs in 20 overs
There were high expectations from the Indian openers to finish the game on their own, but the vice-captain Smriti Mandhana was not seen in good touch today and only able to score 7.
Shafali and Jemimah then added 43 for the second wicket before Shafali left the crease at 32. Jemimah (23) was playing some decent cricket with the bat, but an edge in sixteenth over ended her inning as well. Richa Ghosh, who came in at six, got out on first ball.
Indian skipper took the complete responsibility on her shoulders and played a solid knock of before getting retired hurt when India only required 2 in 8 balls. Deepti Sharma remained unbetean at seven off 7. Sanjana Sanjeevan scored the winnings runs for the side, as India won the game with seven balls to spare.
With this win, India reached to fourth on the points table. While Pakistan with one win and one loss, are in still in third place.
