IND vs ZIM Match Highlights, India recorded a clinical victory in the fifth and final T20I against Zimbabwe to end the series on convincing note.  

Defending a target of 168, Indian bowlers did not let the host teams’ batters to settle on the crease for long and bowled them out for 125 to secure the series 4-1.  

Earlier, Sanju Samson’s steady half-century knock provided India a stage to set an above average total on a slow surface.

Zimbabwe came up with a solid plan for dismissing Indian top-order after facing a 10-wicket humiliation in a 153-run chase in less than 24 hours.  

Opting to bowl, skipper Sikandar Raza came to bowl the first over of the innings and did his work of taking the wicket of dangerous Yashasvi Jaiswal. 

Abhishek Sharma, the only centurion in this series, became the next one to walk back to pavilion cheaply, followed by India captain Shubman Gill for 13.  

The most experienced player in India’s squad, Sanju Samson, showed his experience and played a 45-ball 58 rescuing knock. Riyan Paraga provided Samson with good support with 22.  

While the finishing touches by Shivam Dube (26 off 12) and Rinku Singh (11* off 9) guided the men in blue to 167 after the end of 20 overs.

Zimbabwe to chase 168 runs

Mukesh Kumar, who was rested in fourth T20I, back in fifth game with a mindset of providing India early breakthroughs, as he bagged two wickets in his first 2 overs.  

Tadiwanashe Marumani (27), and Dion Myers (34) tried their best to rescue the side from early dismissals. But both failed to convert their start to a match finishing knock.  

While an unfortunate run-out of skipper Sikandar Raza, ended Zimbabwe’s last hope to chase down the target, as they fell short by 42 runs.  

Mukesh Kumar was the pick of the bowler for India, as he took 4 wickets. Shivam Dube bagged 2, while Washington Sundar and Ravi Bishnoi, and Deshpande took a wicket each.

The young brigade under the Captaincy of Shubman Gill displayed a solid show in the series, as after facing a defeat in the first T20I, the men in blue made a solid comeback, and ended the series connivingly 4-1.
