IND vs SL 1st innings update
After facing a shaky start and losing wickets in intervals, team India finally managed to put some good numbers on board, thanks to Deepak Hooda and Axar Patel, their brilliant knocks of unbeaten 41 off 23 and 31* off 20 helped the side to cross 160–run mark.
After the completion of 20 overs of the 1st T20I between India and Sri Lanka, team India total is 162. In the first innings, team India managed to score 162 runs for the loss of 5 wickets.
In the last 10 overs, Indian batters utilized the opportunity, adding more 87 runs. The batting team managed to hit 20 number of boundaries.
During the death overs, team India was able score 44 runs without losing any wicket. The highest partnership of the innings was between Deepak Hooda and Axar Patel who contributed 58 runs to the innings.
Indian batters collected 17 runs off the 16th over
A good 16th over, where batters collected 17 runs helped India to reach near 120-mark before the final 4 overs start.
Wanindu Hasaranga bowled the 17th over of the game and was unsuccessful in controlling the run-rate. 9 and zero wickets came in this over. A total of 6 runs and a wicket came off the 18th over of the innings bowled by Rajitha.
The 19th over of the innings was bowled by Dilshan Madushanka, who couldn’t kept things tight, conceding 15 runs.
Axar Patel hit a four, a six and 2 doubles to make 19th a big over for India.
The 20th over of the innings was bowled by Kasun Rajitha and it was an expensive one. Indian batters hit 2 sixes to ensure 13 runs came off the over.
The run rate at the end of 20th over is 8.10. Deepak Hooda (41* off 23) scored highest number of runs by hitting 1 four and 4 sixes at a strike rate of 178.26.
