New Zealand is probable to travel to India for an 8-match white-ball series ahead of the T20 World Cup 2026. As per reports, the dates for the series might be locked for January 2026. Let’s look at IND vs NZ White Ball Series 2026.

IND vs NZ: 3 ODIs and 5 T20Is In January 2026

A recent development of New Zealand touring India in January 2026  will consist of three ODIs and five T20Is. However, the venues for the series are yet to be decided. The white-ball series is likely to begin on January 11 and end on January 30, 2026. Soon, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will discuss the selection of venues in a meeting and confirm the schedule on June 14, 2024.

The white-ball series, including five T20Is, will allow both sides to decide a perfect squad for the upcoming 2026 T20 World Cup. Moreover, three ODIs in consideration of the 8-match series will help the Kiwis and India to prepare for the 2027 ODI World Cup.

The last time India and New Zealand clashed in a white-ball game was in the 2025 Champions Trophy finale. In a tight competition between the two in the finals, India emerged as the winners of the prestigious event, defeating the Blackcaps by four wickets. India also clashed with New Zealand in the group stages of the event. India marked a win over the Kiwis by 44 runs in the game.

What Happened The Last Time New Zealand Visited India

New Zealand toured India for the red-ball series in 2024. The Kiwis whitewashed Rohit Sharma and Company in the three-match Test series held across Bengaluru, Pune, and Mumbai. Moreover, considering the white-ball game, the Kiwis’ last faceoff on Indian soil was in 2023. The white-ball series consisted of three ODIs and three T20Is. India seized the ODI series by 3-0. Although New Zealand took the lead in the T20I series 1-0, India’s back-to-back wins led the series, resulting in India’s side winning by 2-1.
