When will ICC announce the Champions Trophy 2025 schedule?

Amid all the confusion surrounding the hybrid model, the ICC (International Cricket Council) is expected to announce the schedule of the Champions Trophy 2025 by the end of this week.  

India’s participation in the tournament still has a question mark glued to it, due to security concerns. While Pakistan, who has not hosted any major international cricketing tournament since 1996, which raises a question regarding the smooth transition of the tournament.  

Security has been a major issue regarding the tournament, there are ongoing talks regarding the India matches can be set in neutral venues (same as the Asia Cup 2023). India will play all of the games in Dubai if the tournament will be conducted in a hybrid model.  

How will ICC tackle the ongoing ‘hybrid model’ issue?

Reportedly, the ICC is working closely with the Pakistani authorities to ensure that security is at its best. 

Major cricket stadiums such as Karachi’s National Stadium, Lahore Gaddafi Stadium, and a new high-tech Islamabad stadium are under evaluation by the ICC officials, to paint a positive impact on the ongoing uncertainties, The ICC has started a Trophy Tour for ICC Champions Trophy 2025.  

The tour began on Saturday in Islamabad the capital of Pakistan, the tour was accompanied by Pakistan Cricketing legend Shoaib Akhtar. As of now, the ICC is working with Indian and Pakistani board officials to end the disparities and to make sure that the tournament goes on smoothly.
