In a fest of wickets the Amazon Warriors fought hard to sneak in a cheeky win by 30 runs to make it four wins in six games. The match saw wickets fall like a jigsaw puzzle, in both the first and second innings we no one really played long innings except for Hetmyer in the first innings and Evin Lewis in the second innings. This thrilling game started off with St Kitts winning the toss and deciding to bowl first. This decision to bowl first certainly paid off as Ashmead Nedd cleaned up both the openers in the very first over. However, it was Hetmyer who carried the team towards a decent total to defend.
First with the bat the West Indies superstar shined then with the ball Shamar Joseph provided three crucial wickets that crumbled the St. Kitts batters. Even though Ashmead Nedd picked up four wickets for St Kitts, it was all in vain as they lost the game in the end after failing to reach a decent target.

Early on in the Innings
After losing two early wickets the Amazon Warriors were in deep trouble as they lost their top three batsman in a matter of time. In the end, it was Hetmyer and Romario Shepherd’s small cameo that propelled the Warrior’s score to 137/8 in 20 overs. A total of six batsmen were dismissed under single-digit scores. Shimron Hetmyer the star man smashed a brilliant 63 off 33 balls that gave the much-needed boost to Amazon Warriors.
His knock included five massive sixes and four boundaries. Even though he did not get much support from other batters he made sure that his team reached a respectable total of 137/8. For St Kitts Ashmead Nedd picked up four wickets, Shamsi picked up two, while K Mayers and Ryan John chipped in with one wicket each.
Amazon Warriors Give Zero Chace for St Kitts
The target was less and the St Kitts team was ready to chase down this low score with full confidence, however, that did not happen as the Amazon Warriors bowlers were tight and did not give any room for St Kitts to gain control of the game. Evin Lewis was the sole batter from St Kitts who tried his best but couldn’t carry his team over the line.
Excellent bowling from Shamar Joseph and spinners (Imran Tahir & Moeen Ali) helped the Amazon Warriors restrict the St Kitts from chasing down the target. While Gudakesh Motie and Dwaine Pretorius also contributed with one wicket each which restricted the St Kitts for 107/10 in 18.3 overs.

This combined effort from the Amazon Warriors bowlers and firey knock of Hetmyer helped the Warriors win the game by 30 runs and make it the fourth win of their CPL 2024 campaign.
