England vs West Indies 3rd Test Day 2: England vs West Indies Highlights, In a game where West Indies had major control the England side managed to gain the first-innings lead to set the tone for the rest of the test match. At one stage England was down to 54/5 whereas West Indies seemed like they were cruising but all of a sudden the England team pulled off a thriller gained the first innings lead and brought the game back into their control.
The England team with excellent batsmen like Joe Root and Stokes held their nevers, where their century stand along with Jamie Smith and Woake’s century stand gave England the much-needed lead to gain momentum in the match.

Joe Root who is looking in great form has been playing really well for England and seems like he is in shape to break a few records. He played a brilliant innings where he went to smash 87 runs from 124 balls. His knock along with Stokes gave England the much-needed stability after the early fall of wickets.
Century’s Stand Saves England From Humiliation
Ben Stokes and Joe Root played really well, mainly Stokes with 54 runs in 69 balls gave England the crucial runs for the team when they needed it very badly. While Jamie Smith the wicket-keeper was the stand-out player who went on to score 95 from 109 balls.

His innings helped England not only crawl back into the game but also gave them the much-needed first-innings lead. Chris Woakes also stood strong where he contributed with 62 runs from 78 balls.
England who were at 51/4 in 10.5 overs then went on to score 376/10 in 75.4 overs. Even though the first half of the English batters failed to score runs the rest of the batters made sure that they took the lead.
What’s in Store for the Day 3 of the 3rd Test Match?
West Indies currently trail by 61 runs at the end of Day 2 stumps, so with two wickets down and 33 runs on board, the West Indies team will be looking to capture the lead and try to set to good total in the second innings in order to have some chance of comeback into the innings.
