Duleep Trophy 2nd match summary: The interesting game between India A and India B ended in team A’s favour as they beat the B team by 76 runs at Bengaluru on Sunday.
It was a tight game where all players whether experienced or youngsters performed extremely well that provided a good picture of India’s strength in domestic cricket.
Batting first, the India B team posted a total of 321, thanks to Musheer Khan’s brilliant 181, as his knock not only rescued his side from 94 for 6 but provided a good advantage by guiding them to 321.
India A, in reply, posted 90 runs less and later received a challenging target of 275 to win the game. KL Rahul’s 57 and Akash Deep with 43, tried their best, but that wasn’t enough to secure a win.
Duleep Trophy 2nd match summary
The second match of the Duleep Trophy 2024 was ended in three days after India C defeated the India D by four wickets at Anantapur.
Batting first, the Shreyas Iyer-led side scored 164, while India D posted only four more runs. The India D team bowled out for 236 in second innings and set a target of 233, which Ruturaj Gaikwad’s team chased down with four wickets in hand.
Star players performance in Duleep Trophy 2024
Many top players such as KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, Axar Patel, Rishabh Pant, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shubman Gill to name a few participated in Duleep Trophy’s first two matches.
KL Rahul scored most runs for his side India A in both innings with 37 and 57, respectively. Shreyas Iyer had a decent outing with a 9 and 54.
Axar Patel once again stood tall during crises this time for India D, as his 86-run knock rescued the team from 76 for 8 to 164. The all-rounder collected 114 runs in two innings and took three wickets with the ball.
Rishabh Pant also showed some signs of being in form with a 47-ball 61 in the second innings. While Ruturaj Gaikwad and Shubman Gill missed big knocks despite good starts.
Akash Deep has bagged the most wickets with nine scalps and he might receive a selection call for test series against Bangladesh.

The third and fourth tests of Duleep Trophy 2024 will start from September 12. India A will face India D at the Rural Development Trust Stadium in Anantapur. While India B to play against India C at ACA ADCA Ground, Anantapur.
