Champions Trophy Final venue updates: May Move from Lahore to Dubai if India Qualifies

Amid doubts about India’s participation in the ICC Champions, reports suggest that the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 final could move out of Pakistan if India qualifies. Let’s know about Champions Trophy Final venue updates.

Pakistan hosts the ICC Champions Trophy, so the Pakistan Cricket Board marked Lahore, Karachi, and Rawalpindi as a venue and decided to host all Indian matches in Lahore for safety reasons as it is close to the border.

However, the Board of Control for Cricket in India has not confirmed whether they are traveling to Pakistan. The decision to travel to Pakistan hinges on the Government of India.

Due to political conflicts between these two neighboring countries, the Indian Cricket team has not traveled to Pakistan for any cricket matches since 2008. However, Pakistan hosted the previous Asia Cup, but all the Indian matches are played in Sri Lanka. Similarly, the BCCI requested ICC to adopt a hybrid mode for the Champions Trophy and shift their matches to UAE or Sri Lanka.

On Tuesday, The Telegraph said that the ICC Champions Trophy could move out of Pakistan if India qualifies for the final, and the match will be shifted from Lahore to Dubai.

On the other hand, the Pakistan Cricket Board chairman, Mohsin Naqvi said that all the matches of the Champions Trophy will take place in Pakistan, including India’s matches, and confidently stated that BCCI will send their Squad to Pakistan.

“The Indian team should come. I don’t see them cancel or postpone coming here and we are confident we will host all the teams in the Champions Trophy in Pakistan,” Mohsin Naqvi said.

There has been no official announcement from the ICC regarding this matter. However, Pakistan is confident about India’s participation, while the BCCI has not yet revealed its stance on whether they will travel to Pakistan or not participate in the tournament.
