After winning the toss Bangladesh women did not waste any time as they went on to score 191/2 in 20 overs. It all started with the openers scoring 51 runs in the first six overs without losing any wickets. Even though Dilara Akter was dismissed for 33 runs it was Murshida Khatun who stole the show with her incredible 80 runs of 59 balls along with 10 fours and a six.
While the skipper also played her part with 37 balls and 62 runs, she played a true captain’s innings to take the team’s score to 190 plus. Both of them Murshida Khatun and Nigar Sultana smashed 89 runs together to help the Bangladesh women to set a high target.

Malaysia Continued Its Poor Performance
First, it was their bowling where they completely failed to restrict Bangladesh women. In the first innings, they were only able to pick up two wickets even after using seven bowlers. Then their poor results continued in the batting as well.
The whole Malaysia Women’s team was crumbled where no player scored part 20 runs. For Bangladesh Women, Nahida Akter picked up two wickets along with other bowlers who chipped in with one wicket each to restrict Malaysia Women to 77/8 in 20 overs.
