BAN vs SA 1st Test Day 2 Highlights Today
After taking a first innings lead of 202, South African bowlers continue to ask tough question to Bangladeshi batters, mainly Kagiso Rabada, whose deliveries seemed impossible to play.
Rabada took the first two wickets for Proteas by dismissing Shadman Islam and Mominul Haque at the score of 4. Captain Najmul Hossain Shanto played a knock of 23 before walking back to pavillion.

Started the day 2 at 140 for 6, South African batters added 87 more runs in the first session to set a good platform for the visitors to grab a solid lead.
Wiaan Mulder completed his first test half-century in the process and scored his highest 54 before leaving the middle when the Proteas were at 227.
The wicketkeeper batter Kyle Verreynne (114) continued to score runs and dominatingly smashed his second hundred, Dane Piedt who came in at number 8, gave support to Veereynne by scoring 32, as South Africa managed to post 308 in their first innings.
Taijul Islam, who bagged a fifer during first day’s play, remained wicketless on the second day. While Hasan Mahmud (3) and Mehidy Hasan Miraz (2) shared 2-2 wickets each on day 2.

Earlier in the match, Kagiso Rabada created history by becoming the fastest bowler to complete 300 wickets in test cricket in terms of numbers of balls bowled.
Rabada’s spell of 11-4-26, along with Wiaan Mulder’s 8-4-22-3, and Keshav Maharaj’s 16.1-4-34-3 restricted Bangladesh to only 106 in first innings. Mahmudul Hasan Joy was the top run-scorer for the hosts with 30.
Verreynne’s 114 and a 119-run partnership with Wiaan Mulder (54) provided South Africa an upper hand in the test.
