Kohli: Society Has Become More Compassionate After Corona Crisis

Indian captain Virat Kohli has said that people seem to have turned more compassionate in the process of dealing with the corona outbreak and hope that the gratitude towards frontline warriors in the fight against the deadly virus like the police personnel and health-care professionals will remain even after the health crisis is gone.

Kohli Says Everyone Should Do What They Love

The cricketer along with his actor wife Anushka Sharma spoke in an online classroom arranged by Unacademy institute about the challenges they faced before they became successful.

“The one positive out of this crisis that we as a society have become more compassionate. We are showing more gratitude to the frontline workers in this war, be it police personnel, doctors, or nurses. I hope it stays this way even after we overcome this crisis,” said Kohli.

He also said that everyone should do what makes them happy and not get into comparisons all the time. He also feels life would be different after coming out of these troubling times.

Health Is Everything: Anushka Sharma

His wife and actress Anushka Sharma who was present beside him said that the pandemic has taught everyone that health is the most important thing and remarked that without the frontline workers there would be no availability of basics.

She also believes that nothing happens without a reason and said one more thing the crisis has taught her is nobody is special than the other.

“There is a learning in all of this. Nothing happens without a reason. If the frontline workers were not there, we would not have access to basics,” she said.

“This has taught us that no one is special than the other. Health is everything. We are more connected as a society now,” she said.

When Kohli was asked about the moment he felt most helpless. He replied,” I felt nothing was working for me when I was not picked for the state team initially. I cried the whole night and asked my coach ‘why did I not get selected’?”
